Varieties of Psilocybin Mushroom Spores

As you probably already know, there are more than one type of psilocybin mushrooms. If we try to catalog them depending on whether or not they carry the substance psilocybin, then we’ll have on our hands more than 100 different species of mushrooms, each of which has tiny psilocybe spores that can be carried without any dangers, but that can be cultivated into actual, psilocybin-containing magic mushrooms.

These mushrooms can be studied extensively in the lab, and researchers are currently checking on many more types of psychedelic mushrooms aside from the best known of the strains and species. The goal is to check for untapped resources when it comes to treating a variety of cognitive ailments.

Depending on how much psilocybin they contain, the mushrooms can be ordered according to their dosage. For instance, the Golden Teacher species would then be at the top of the list, because it is known for producing uncommonly large quantities of psilocybin during its life cycle. Another mushroom that’s worth paying attention to is the B+ Cubensis – a very popular strain that was thought to have been developed intentionally by a researcher more than 20 years ago.

Finally, there are other common strains such as the Z-strain, the Blue Meanie and the Cambodian strain. All of these have their own unique stories and have been used throughout history for a variety of healing purposes.
